Grooming/Shearing Services

Beat the heat and get your llama sheared.  In Texas, if not given proper cooling and care during the summer months, llamas are susceptible to heat stress.  Shearing is a must to keep them cool.  They enjoy having fans , swamp coolers, or misters to lay in front of in the barn.

Shearing Prices:

Barrel Cut: $40.00

Lion Cut: $ 45.00

Full Body: $50.00

If the llama is unruly and I am unable to shear it easily there will be an extra charge determined at that time.  I have a slight sedative available if llama is hard to work with for an extra charge of $5.00.  Each haircut comes with a worming with either Ivermectin or Safeguard paste.  Toenail trimming is available is available at extra charge depending on llamas behavior. I have a scale on site to determine the accurate weight of your llama.  If you desire your llama to be bathed there is an additional charge of $15.00.  There will also be additional charges if llama’s fiber is very matted or dirty as the shear blades dull quickly in these conditions. Grooming charges will be determined depending on the condition of the llama.   All llamas must come on a halter or the owner must get in trailer with llama and halter it upon arrival.
